The new year!

          Looking back on our journey in 2011 simply blows my mind! It was a year that God convicted my heart and challenged my priorities.  It was a year full of opportunities that often required tough choices. It was a year where both open and closed doors required faith.  I will always remember 2011 as a time that God transformed my life and molded a new life for my family.

My family spent much of 2011 learning about different aspects of ministry and more about the people and culture of Guatemala. God used this past year to draw our family closer to him, narrow our focus to the ministries that we are most passionate about and clarify our calling for 2012.   

I am excited to share with you that we will be working under a new ministry called “Gospel Rooted Ministries” in 2012.  GRM's foundational verse is Colossians 2:6-7.  Through this ministry, we will partner with local churches within the Guatemalan community to plant churches, disciple and biblically meet physical needs.  GRM has been blessed with an experienced board of directors who love the Lord, are serious about furthering the reach of the Gospel and are ready to encourage, advise and partner with us in every detail of ministry.  Together, we are dedicated to building a ministry with a strong and biblical foundation that will utilize each opportunity the Lord provides.
